Our Second Mexico Crusade

Following our time in Piedras Negras, testimonies of God’s healing power spread across Mexico, prompting invitations for Pastor Craig & Pastor Sergio Aranda to come. Another 3-day healing Crusade was held the following October 25 – 27, 2018 where Craig & Sergio ministered during 3 days of healing crusades among the huasteca indigenious people in San Luis Potosí. The Huasteca is home to 6 indigenous ethnic groups with over 250,000 speaking various indigenous languages. Huastecs are a Mayan people, whose language probably separated about 3,000 years ago. Their presence in this area is most likely due to Mayan expansion north along the Veracruz coast until sometime between 1000 and 1500CE, when they were forced back south, leaving the Huastec group isolated in the far north. It is one of the poorest regions of the country, with the federal government categorizing it as a “critical region” in terms of combating poverty. Catholic Christianity is the dominant religion in Mexico, representing about 82.7% of the total population. In San Luis Potosí, 92% are Roman Catholics and only 1% is believed to be Christian. Pastor Craig & Pastor Sergio traveled with a small team this trip. There were only 5 men that ministered as we believed it might not be a safe area for women due to the crusade being held over the Day of the Dead, and all of the witchcraft in the region. Again, God showed himself strong, and although there were times where they ministered for hours in the pouring rain, people were riveted and stayed because of the presence of God. Many did not even speak Spanish because of the many different tribes in the area, but somehow the message of the Gospel was understood and many were saved, healed and delivered. Only God could make this happen!
